Bedfordshire-based Miniclipper Logistics has taken on new finance director Laure Filippi, who will join sales director Jayne Masters as the second woman on the board.
Filippi's most recent role was with nuclear fuel cycle products and services specialist Orano Group, where she was the company's UK chief financial officer, overseeing the administrative, financial, and risk management operations. Previous to that, she held a senior role at CAT-UK services, which she joined in 2007.
In her new role as financial director at Miniclipper, Filippi will oversee a predominately female team of six including a financial controller, supervising the day-to-day finances and the strategic vision for the future of Miniclipper.

Filippi said: "I’m excited to be working with Jayne as a fellow female director, it’s a first for me with two women on the board and I am already enjoying getting stuck in."
The third-generation family firm recently celebrated its half-century of trading on 23 March by announcing a £5.5m investment in its transport and warehousing divisions, and predicting a record year of trading.
“With a new transport site now open which is fueling our big expansion plans, the role of finance director is a busy job as we head for a record year of turnover and growth,” Masters added.
