Meachers Global Logistics has spent around £1m on seven new tractor units and 24 new trailers as part of its fleet renewal process.
The Southampton-based operation has taken delivery of four Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks and two Volvo FH400's, all at Euro-5.
Another Volvo tractor-unit and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter will join the approximately 70-strong fleet in January.
The 24 new trailers from Lawrence David comprise four tri-axle skeletal trailers with the remainder all 14.6m curtain sided tri-axle trailers.
Stuart Terris, Meachers MD, said: “We have experienced a strong period of growth in 2013 and this is reflected in our fleet replenishment and acquisition programme.
“The move reflects a desire to standardise our fleet and this strategy is expected to produce significant operational benefits to the business.”
Meachers has recently netted a three-year contract extension with packaging company Huhtamaki (UK), as well as Lionvest.
