Maritime Transport has ordered 35 Actros for its general fleet, having put 30 of the trucks on the road as part of a separate deal with Allport Cargo Services.
Maritime revealed it had signed a contract with the international freight forwarder following a 12 month trial in July of this year.
The deal commenced a month later and sees Maritime dedicate 44 of its vehicles to the Allport contract, distributed between its Southampton, Tamworth, Manchester and Doncaster depots.
All 65 of the Actros will have flat-floored BigSpace cabs and 450hp straight-six engines
Maritime recently ordered 200 Dennison sliding skeletal trailers and 100 curtainsiders from Lawrence David, and opened a new depot in Leighton Buzzard.
