The directors of VMS Fleet management have formed a new conversion company in a bid to corner rising demand for refrigerated vehicles.
VMS Fleet management MD Martin James, finance director Richard Horrex and director Aaron Laraman officially launched MAR Cooling Solutions this week.
The East Sussex-based company, which specialises in refrigerated and temperature-controlled vehicle conversions, said it has already landed a number of “large-scale” projects, including conversions for vans being used to deliver Covid-19 vaccines across the country.
The company offers a range of temperature-controlled conversion options, including refrigerated panel vans, chill and freezer conversions, as well as line-outs for vehicles without a fridge unit.
It also specialises in electric refrigerated vehicles as well as additional racking, frames and other specifications.
MAR Cooling Solutions was created to meet increasing demand for refrigerated vehicles driven by the rise in home delivery services during the pandemic and the need to transport millions of vaccines around the country.
Based in Hailsham, East Sussex, it is currently providing services to leading supermarkets, pharmaceutical organisations, fleet management companies and dealerships, as well as SMEs across the UK.
The company was formed in late 2020 by an experienced team who have been in the transport and fleet industry for a combined period of more than 60 years, as well as experts in refrigerated vehicle conversions.
Martin James, chairman of MAR Cooling Solutions said: “I speak for the whole team when I say that we’re extremely proud to be officially launching MAR Cooling Solutions onto the market.
“Launching a new business during a global pandemic was always going to have its fair share of challenges, but due to the influx of refrigeration requirements, we are helping more and more businesses reach their customers in these difficult times.
“In the short time since soft launching, we have already converted vehicles for major pharmaceutical companies, fleet management businesses as well as supermarkets and have even provided conversions to vehicles that have been integral in delivering the Covid-19 vaccine to patients across the country.
“We are all very proud to be playing a small part in making a difference. Our core conversion team really are experts in their field and we’re hoping to become a reliable supplier to various industries as MAR grows into the future; watch this space.”
