Slam Transport has marked its 10th anniversary by taking on 50 brand new Volvo FH 460 6x2 tractor units.

Supplied by Volvo Truck and Bus Centre South & East, the latest arrivals mean 35% of its 250-strong commercial vehicle fleet is now Volvo-supplied – a significant increase since it returned to the manufacturer in 2020.

Danny Gould, senior transport manager, at the Coventry-based firm, said: “We’re well versed in what Volvo brings to the table, and so it was a no-brainer to return for our 2025 intake.

“All our existing Volvos consistently deliver impressive fuel economy and superior driving performance, which makes them a firm favourite among our drivers.

“The service support is also top-notch. They always go above and beyond to translate our needs into a solution that not only works but exceeds our expectations.”

Slam Transport’s FH with I-Save tractor units each feature a D13TC Euro-6 Step E engine, producing 460 hp and 2,600 Nm of torque.
