Huddersfield’s Mac’s Truck Sales Group has acquired Fassi crane specialist Walker Crane Services.
The company said the partnership with London-based Walker would enhance its aftersales support and establish a southern base for the business.
It added that Walker Crane Services would continue to trade as normal, with no changes to staff or disruption to clients.
Alex McDade, sales director at Mac’s Truck Sales, said: “By bringing together our high-volume, high-performance manufacturing capabilities with Walker Crane Services’ expertise as a key FASSI dealer and service agent, we’re strengthening our ability to support customers right across the UK – and particularly in the South.
“We are keen to continue investing in ways to support our customers, providing them with the high level of service they deserve and expect.”
The acquisition is also intended to establish Walker Crane Services’ site in Grays, Essex, as a strategic Southern depot for Mac’s Truck Rental, and provide operators with access to the company’s fleet of commercial vehicles, available on both flexible spot-hire and long-term rental packages.
