Logistics UK has appointed Nichola Mallon, former minister for infrastructure in the Northern Ireland Assembly as head of trade and devolved policy.
Mallon replaces Seamus Leheny, who left the role earlier this month to become chief executive of the Northern Ireland Federation of Housing Associations (NIFHA).
In her new post Mallon brings over 14 years of experience working within local government, the devolved Assembly and government in Northern Ireland (NI).
Her former roles include a year as Lord Mayor of Belfast from 2014 to 2015 and two years as NI minister for infrastructure from 2020 to 2022.
Kate Jennings, Logistics UK director of policy, welcomed Mallon to her new role adding that Logistics UK will from Mallon's "wide-ranging experience and knowledge and relationships with the devolved administration in NI and the wider UK governments. "
