Kuehne + Nagel has opened an 36,089ft² facility in Aberdeen specifically to serve oil and gas industry customers – in a move that brings previously subcontracted container loading and North Sea trailer services in-house.

Marcus Bennett, national manager at Kuehne + Nagel UK, said: “Complex logistics tasks for the oil and gas industry demand precisely tailored solutions.

Here our new Aberdeen branch has a crucial role to play. Our customers will benefit from enhanced services, as we strengthen our global oil and gas network with a dedicated European Hub.”

The new site offers international freight forwarding, as well as supply chain services – running not just overland, but also air freight and sea freight services.

K+N said that bringing in previously subcontracted services “provided full management control”.
