Kinaxia Logistics has promoted its regional director Jane Cooper to a new role of national sales director to grow its commercial pipeline.
She will lead the sales and business development teams and expand the company’s customer base and strengthen client relationships.
Kinaxia chief commercial officer Mark Tabor said: “Jane has a vast amount of logistics and transport industry experience, a very positive attitude, and takes a proactive approach to sales development.
“She is the ideal person to fill this new role as the sales team targets the north west and the Midlands as a priority for growth.
“In both regions there are exciting commercial opportunities which are aligned to our end-to-end logistics services and can benefit from our reputation for delivering local market excellence.”
Cooper has risen through the ranks over nine years after joining Lambert Brothers in Eastleigh, which the company acquired in 2015.
Prior to that she held roles at TNT and Nightfreight.
She said: “I’m really excited to be appointed to this new role and to playing my part in supporting and developing Kinaxia’s growth strategy.
“As a company, we are committed to getting closer to our clients, building customer relationships and providing end-to-end logistics solutions tailored to their needs. The experience and knowledge of our national sales team will be crucial as we pursue these objectives.
“At the same time, we are making greater use of AI and business intelligence to create and drive business development and commercial opportunities.”
The promotion was announced after financial results showed Kinaxia Logistics made an £866,000 pre-tax loss down from a £1.2m profit in the previous year.
Group company Kinaxia delivered a pre-tax loss of £21.2m in 2023, which it attributed to falling demand for transport and warehousing services.
