Keyne Express Deliveries and KED Logistics have been purchased by Beaches Logistics after both companies entered administration.
All employees have transferred to Beaches and they will continue to operate from the Milton Keynes site previous occupied by Keyne Express.
According to Helen Jarvis, Keyne Express Deliveries’ director, the administration on 20 November was prompted by the loss of two customers.
She added: “We [her and fellow director Edward Jarvis] are both in our seventies, so we are retiring.”
The purchase means Beaches Logistics also takes on Keyne’s membership of Palletways.
In a statement, the company said it would continue to carry out all future collections and deliveries to maintain a continuation of service.
A Palletways spokesman said: “Together with Beaches we are committed to ensuring that customers receive the same first class level of service that they have come to expect from the Palletways network.”
The Beaches Logistics Group recently took on the work of another Palletways' member, Murray’s Pallet Logistics, after the company entered administration.
