John Sutch Cranes has added two new high-spec Scania S 660 A6x4NA heavy haulage units following a £750,000 fleet renewal programme.

The latest order builds on what it described as “a transformative 12-months” for the crane hire specialist, which has already modernised its transport and rigging division and introduced a new blue and canary yellow brand identity.

The company said the earlier investment programme laid the foundations for a more modern fleet and with the two new Scania V8 units added, the total investment went well over £1m.

The new Scania S 660 units are purpose-built for nationwide heavy haulage and abnormal load transport.

Craig Hargreaves, Scania sales director, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting John Sutch Cranes with this latest investment.

“The S 660 V8 is designed for exactly this type of demanding heavy haulage operation – delivering the power, reliability and driver comfort needed for specialist transport work.”

Hayley Sutch, Designate MD at John Sutch Cranes, added: “Over the last 12 months, we’ve made a conscious decision to invest in both our fleet and our brand.

“The £750,000 programme was a big step forward for us, and these new Scania units take that even further.

“It’s about making sure we have the right equipment, the right image, and the right foundations in place for the future.”
