Iveco renews K+N spare parts distribution contract

Iveco has renewed its European spare parts distribution contract with Kuehne + Nagel.K+N manages five spare parts DCs across the UK and the Continent, including Winsford in Cheshire and sites in Italy, Spain, France and Germany.

The firm has held the contract, which covers overnight distribution of parts across Europe, for 12 years, handling  nine million order lines per year.

Orders range from small components to engine blocks and cabs and K+N handles over 60,000 tonnes per year of incoming and outgoing part.

The contract also includes receiving goods, storage, picking and packing, distribution, handling returns and re-packing and re-labelling. It also covers thermic treatment of wooden packages for destinations outside of Europe.

K+N Italy national manager Ruggero Poli said: “The extension of the contract by Iveco clearly recognises our expertise in the field of automotive contract logistics and our strong skills in supply chain innovation and continuous process improvement.”
