A line-up of 23 speakers from across the logistics industry will take to the stage at Logistics UK’s Future Logistics Conference this summer.

The conference will take place alongside the inaugural Information and Technology in Transport (ITT) Hub exhibition at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre.

The free two-day conference, which opens on 30 June, will look at the challenges facing the logistics industry of the future, including how to meet environmental targets, harness new data and technologies and tackle the growing skills shortage.

Topics on the agenda include future vehicles and fuels, the power of data, attracting and retaining talent, funding strategies and effective business models for the future.

Delegates will be able to join sessions led by organisations including Highways England, Renault Trucks UK & Ireland, National Grid, DHL Supply Chain, UPS, Volta Trucks and the Advanced Propulsion Centre.

Speakers include Carlos Rodrigues, MD Renault Trucks UK and Ireland; Graeme Cooper, project director, electric vehicles at the National Grid; Andy Eastlake, MD of Zemo Partnership; Rob Fowler, chief executive of Volta Trucks; Phil Roe, chief customer officer at DHL Supply Chain; Nick Harris, chief executive of Highways England and Peter Harris, international sustainability director at UPS.

The line-up also includes major Tim Peake – the first British astronaut to visit the International Space Station.

In additon, the event will host an exhibition featuring the latest developments in logistics and passenger transport and has an outdoor vehicle display area offering ride and drive' so attendees can experience the latest vehicle technology.
