The International Road Transport Union (IRU) is on the hunt for the first “Best EU Road Transport Operator”.
The award, which aims to promote a positive image of haulage and draw attention to the role that road transport plays in the EU economy, is divided into three categories: fleets of one–10 vehicles, 11-50 vehicles, and over 50 vehicles.
Florence Berthelot, president of the IRU EU goods transport liaison committee, said: “This new award seeks to shed light on the best of our industry among our sector, policy and decision-makers at the highest levels, in recognition of their professionalism and contributions to the European economy.”
Entries are open to IRU members and can be made through their national IRU member association by 6 June.
The winner of the award will be announced at a ceremony in Brussels by the end of 2014.
