Digital marketplace SNAP and Moto have extended their partnership to enable truck drivers with an account to park at all 53 Moto services, adding another 14 key locations and almost 3,000 extra truck parking spaces to the SNAP network.
The move sees 14 new locations join the scheme, including Donnington Park on the M1 near Derby; Reading Westbound and Reading Eastbound at Burghfield; Brighton Road services at Pease Pottage; the Hill Top Roundabout at Blyth in Nottinghamshire; Doncaster North at Hatfield; and Green Lane at Tamworth.
Myra McPartlin, SNAP head of commercial sales, said: ”Our primary goal of working with Moto was to satisfy the demand of SNAP truck drivers for additional parking options across the UK.
”Since the first rollout, we have had hundreds of thousands of transactions from over 37,500 SNAP customers in Moto sites - showing the appetite for SNAP as a digital payment solution in motorway service areas.
“It has been a pleasure developing our successful long-term partnership with Moto - and providing mutual benefits to our customers. Our collaboration provides drivers with the largest range of truck parking options in the UK, and we look forward to many more years of working together.
She added: ”“Drivers and fleets have both positively reacted and told us how much they enjoy being able to pay for their truck parking and washing sessions at Moto locations - connecting even more fleet journeys from depot to destination.”
Drivers can also pay for their meal vouchers and refuel at all Moto locations with SNAP Account. Vouchers are available from WH Smith after drivers have paid for parking at the SNAP payment terminal.
Nikki Rogers, Moto Hospitality retail director, said: “We are thrilled to be working with SNAP to provide a best-in-class solution for HGV drivers at every one of our locations. The feedback from both the site teams and the HGV drivers has been overwhelmingly positive since we went live with the original pilot in 2023.
“The fact that we have now rolled out the platform to all of our sites allows us to offer a seamless digital solution for HGV drivers looking for parking across the whole country.”
SNAP said drivers have welcomed the news. One driver commented: ”Good. All services should be on SNAP Parking. It would be great if all services took SNAP. It’s a start anyway.”
All SNAP account Moto locations, and hundreds of truck stops across Europe, can be found using the intruck app or SNAP’s locations page.
