Freight forwarder NF Global Logistics has expanded its use of the Descartes e-Customs solution from Descartes Systems Group to manage customs compliance for groupage services across continental Europe.

NF Global Logistics, which was founded in November 2014, is a freight forwarding business based in Leeds.

The company specialises in European groupage consolidation with direct services to and from Germany, Belgium, Holland, France & Ireland and is celebrating its tenth year of business this year.

The family-run firm said it has realised “significant” productivity gains since deploying the Descartes e-Customs solution to automate traditionally manual customs clearance processes and meet rising customer demand for import and export declarations post-Brexit.

Descartes e-Customs secure, web-based solution helps companies like NF Global submit data to HMRC and other government agencies through a concise, easy-to-use interface.

The system, which offers template-driven declarations, client-specific data and the ability to duplicate previous declarations, can adapt to the multiple ways that companies operate.

Descartes e-Customs can be integrated with freight management software as well as enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions, which allows both small and large companies to manage inbound and outbound declarations from within one solution.
