Vehicle management, leasing and fleet solutions firm Holman UK has confirmed the appointment of Nick Hay as MD.
Announcing the appointment, the company, which has its headquarters in the US, said that Hay joins the business at a pivotal time as it advances its expansion ambitions in the UK.
Hay, who took up his new role on 8 June, brings a strong track record of driving growth and building high-performing teams across the automotive and logistics sectors.
Previous posts include managing director of Samworth Brothers Distribution, a ten year stint as chief executive of Fowler Welch, and, most recently, CEO of supply chain specialist Gist.
Hay replaces former Holman UK MD Nick Caller, who waa promoted to Holman’s global headquarters in the US.
Rick Tousaw, executive vice president of International operations, has overseen the UK business during the leadership transition, with David Hunt serving as interim MD ahead of Hay’s appointment.
Tousaw said: “We are delighted to welcome Nick to Holman UK at an important stage in our growth journey.
“I also want to personally thank David for his leadership and steady guidance during his time serving as interim MD.
“His impact on the business, our Partners, and our continued progress has been meaningful.”
“As part of that transition, David will return to his role as chief operating officer, where he will continue to support our large corporate clients and work closely with Nick to maintain continuity and momentum across the business.”
Tousaw added: “Holman helps businesses understand their fleets more clearly and run them more effectively and efficiently.
“Central to this is bringing together every part of the operation, from buying and selling to driving and servicing.
“Nick brings decades of experience leading complex logistics operations, where delivery and execution are critical.
“We are delighted to welcome someone of his calibre to the Holman team.”
Hay commented: “This is the most excited I have been about a new role in many years.
“As I have got to know Holman, I have been struck by the strength of its culture and the real value its services deliver for customers.
“Combining that culture and service offering with long-term ownership creates a strong foundation for growth.
“I am looking forward to getting to know the team, our customers and our suppliers as we continue to strengthen Holman’s position in the UK.”
