Volvo’s fully electric EX30 Cargo has become eligible for the government’s Zero Emission Van Grant, reducing its on-the-road price to £33,529.
The Zero Emission Van Grant slashes the vehicle’s purchase price by £2,500.
Developed from the fully electric EX30 compact SUV, the car-derived van is available through Volvo Car UK’s fleet sales channels.
The EX30 Cargo replaces the SUV’s rear seats with a flat load floor and a bulkhead separating the cabin from the cargo area. It offers up to 1,000 litres of load space and a maximum payload of 390kg.
Other modifications include revised rear side panels and doors to maximise usable space, wider-opening rear doors to aid loading, an additional cargo-area work light and underfloor mounting points to help secure loads.
A Cross Country Cargo version is also available, offering increased ground clearance.
Jack Munford, Volvo Car UK head of fleet, said: “Eligibility for the Zero Emission Van Grant makes the EX30 Cargo an even more compelling option for businesses looking to electrify their fleets.
“It gives customers valuable support with the initial purchase cost while allowing them to choose a compact commercial vehicle that offers the safety, comfort and technology that Volvo is so well known for.”
The Cargo conversion is available on newly ordered vehicles and existing stock from model years 2026 and 2027. Powertrain options comprise the P3, producing 150hp, and the P5, producing 272hp. Trim levels include Core, Plus and Cross Country Plus.
Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking assistance, a rear-view camera, automatic LED headlights, wireless smartphone connectivity and Google Automotive Services.
The EX30 Cargo is available to order now, with prices starting at £33,529 on the road after the grant has been applied.
