Two major logistics developments in Luton and East London have been financed, offering more than 329,000sq ft of warehousing space for last-mile operators.
Real estate firm Hillwood Investment Properties said it had arranged a £76.4m development financing facility with Affinius Capital for the projects, which includes a 286,000sq ft facility near the M1 and a 43,659sq ft last-mile warehouse in Canning Town.
Both developments will be delivered speculatively to institutional specification and are targeting BREEAM Excellent certification.
Armin Senoner, Hillwood director of debt markets, said: “The UK remains a core market for Hillwood, and Luton and Canning Town reflect our strategy of pairing large-scale distribution with well-located urban last-mile logistics.
“This facility gives us the platform to deliver both schemes to a high institutional standard, and we look forward to progressing our wider UK pipeline in the months ahead.”
