As the Motor Transport Awards prepares to mark four decades of recognising excellence in road transport, we reveal the original 1986 roll of honour — and appeal to winners to bring their vintage trophies to the anniversary celebration on 9 September.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Motor Transport Awards - were you one of our original winners back in 1986?
The trophy has evolved somewhat into the elegant bronze and granite statuette winners receive today from the orignal trophy - do you have one of these 1986 examples in a trophy cabinet? If so please do let me know as it would be great to have one or more on display at the 40th anniversary on September 9.
