The 2025 Everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards event is open for nominations until 27 January next year, with the ceremony offering women in the sector the chance to win a range of accolades, including Industry Champion and the Woman of the Year Award.
The annual event, which is now in its 18th year, aims to champion the achievements of women in the transport and logistics industry and to highlight the varied and increasing avenues of opportunities available for women in the sector.
The awards are free to enter, and provide an opportunity for companies and individuals to put forward candidates for categories celebrating all stages of their career journey.
Entrants can either nominate themselves or be nominated by someone else, they can enter a maximum of two categories
One issue Everywoman want to highlight through its annual awards is the challenges the industry faces in attracting and retaining female talent.
According to Women in Transport’s 2023 Equity Index Report, 58% of organisations have a gender pay gap of 11% and 54% have no formal targets, commitments or quotas to increase or maintain gender diversity.
The Everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards plays an important role in highlighting success stories, shifting perceptions and creating role models to inspire future female talent.
Karen Gill MBE, co-founder of Everywoman, said: “The transport and logistics industry contributed £214 billion to the UK economy in 2020. However, this male-dominated industry is not benefitting from the powerful value of diversity to fuel its progress and innovation.
“With the industry’s main priorities continuing to focus on deployment of technology, such as AI, and Net Zero targets, it is fundamental that diverse work, ideas, and problem solving is present to reach these necessary goals.
“It is vital that we attract, retain, and advance women in the industry to unlock innovation and drive growth, not just for organisations but for the UK economy.
“The awards play a key role in shining a spotlight on some of the most exceptional women whose innovation, skills, resilience, and leadership will inspire future generations of women to fulfil their career ambitions in this vibrant and economy boosting industry.”
Nominations can be made for a range of categories, including Above and Beyond, Leader, Tech Innovator, International Inspiration, Industry Champion, Male Agent of Change, Apprentice of the Year, Sustainability Champion, and Woman of the Year Award.
There will be two winners in the Above and Beyond and Leader categories. The Above and beyond Award celebrates a woman that has truly gone above and beyond her role to help drive the organisation’s success. This is awarded to a woman at any stage of her career, in recognition of her commitment to going the ‘extra mile’.
The Leader Award recognises a woman operating in a senior role within her organisation. She will be making a significant contribution to the strategic direction of the business.
The awards will take place on 26 June 2025, with the venue as yet to be revealed.
The 2025 judging panel will be announced shortly.
