Ian Jones, co-founder and director of transport law firm Backhouse Jones, has been appointed to the advisory board of hydrogen refuelling specialists Element 2.

Announcing the move, Element 2 said Jones’ addition to its advisory board was a “significant milestone” for the company.

Jones brings years of experience representing truck, bus and coach operators to Element 2, as well as many years of involvement with the Institute of Road Transport Engineers.

He is also currently the Honorary Solicitor for the international division of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.

Element 2 said Jones’ ”expertise and advocacy in the field are recognised as instrumental to advancing industry standards and promoting sustainable fuel alternatives”, adding, ”The addition of Ian Jones to the Advisory Board marks a significant milestone for Element 2 in its mission to lead and innovate within the hydrogen refuelling sector.

”His expertise will undoubtedly provide invaluable guidance as Element 2 continues to drive forward the adoption of hydrogen as a clean, sustainable energy source for the transportation industry.”
