Chester-based logistics services provider Great Bear has confirmed it is taking on a new 412,000ft² warehouse in Sheffield.

The site (pictured), which it is leasing over 15 years from the Logistics Property Partnership – a joint venture between Segro and Moorfield Group – is located approximately half a mile from junction 34 of the M1.

A spokesman for Great Bear, which runs over 200 vehicles and 30 different sites and counts Sainsbury, PZ Cussons, Unilever and Michelin among its customers, declined to say whether the new site had been acquired for a particular contract or client but told Motortransport.co.uk it provided “a modern, high quality facility in an excellent central location”.

“Its position and size mean it is ideally situated to serve companies that require both national and regional warehousing and distribution,” he added.
