Rising demand has seen Goodyear launch retread versions of its Goodyear and Dunlop-branded high load trailer tyres.
Grégory Boucharlat, Goodyear Dunlop Tyres EMEA retread operations, said: “More countries in Europe have extended regulations to permit axle weights more than the standard 40 tonnes on 5-axle articulated vehicles.
“As a result we see an increasing demand from fleet operators for high load trailer tyres capable of enabling total weights more than 40 tonnes.
With the new TreadMax KMax T and TreadMax SP246 in high load we can offer an attractive and cost effective solution for their needs.”
He added: “The new high load products mean fleets requiring 10-tonne axle loads are able to use retreads for even greater economy.”
Currently only customer owned casings that are latest generation Goodyear or Dunlop High Load carcasses, such as trailer tyres KMax T HL, FuelMax T HL and SP246 HL.
