Global Freight Solutions (GFS) has begun work on a new contract with Liverpool FC, managing the delivery of home and away kits ordered from the club's online store.
The parcel and carrier manager began work on the contract with the launch of the club’s new home kit for the 2013-14 Barclays Premier League season. The deal will also cover delivery of its new away kit to fans when it goes on sale later this month.
The customer will use GFS’s Enterprise Carrier Management model, which was launched last year and manages all delivery processes using one system.
GFS director Simon Veale said: “It is another huge business which has recognised how the great number of factors in online retail, including the size, weight, destination and desired delivery date for goods, make simple, effective multi-carrier systems essential.”
Liverpool FC’s retail sales manager Chris Jennions (pictured right with GFS director of coporate sales Jerrad Hampson), said the club was already impressed by what it had seen from GFS.
