Geotab has integrated its European-based fleet management solutions with BYD Trucks Europe, a division of EV manufacturer BYD.

The IoT firm said this gave the truck company a robust fleet management system, with Geotab delivering an end-to-end connectivity solution that helped ensure data privacy and security.

Under the agreement, BYD electric trucks imported to Europe will be equipped with Geotab’s telematics hardware that captures vehicle data, which the company can use to enhance vehicle quality, maintenance and service management.

In addition, BYD Trucks Europe will offer the fleet telematics services to its customers, enabling transport firms to access data insights for improved efficiency operations, cost management and fleet sustainability.

Geotab Europe VP for leasing, Christoph Ludewig, said: “Our role as a supplier to BYD Trucks Europe emphasises the trust placed in Geotab’s technology, which enables BYD Trucks Europe to optimise their own operations and provide exceptional services to their customers.”
