French logistics operator Jacky Perrenot has taken delivery of the first MAN eTGX electric truck, kicking off a rollout that could see up to 100 MAN eTrucks integrated into its fleet. The company has placed a firm order for 40 vehicles – 35 tractor units and 5 chassis – with an option for an additional 60 units.
The truck is available in several configurations, including a version tailored for volume transport. One of the available options is the ultra low-liner variant, which combines a coupling height of just 950 mm with a short 3.75-metre wheelbase, yet still offers full battery capacity and a range of around 500 km. The eTGX’s modular battery system can be tailored with four, five or six battery packs depending on range and payload requirements.
Charging is available via CCS connectors at up to 375 kW, or via the Megawatt Charging System (MCS), which supports initial charging rates of up to 750 kW and is expected to reach 1 MW in the future. According to MAN, this enables rapid recharging during driver rest periods, allowing daily ranges of up to 800 km.
The platform offers multiple wheelbase and driveline combinations, making it suitable for a variety of logistics applications.
The MAN eTGX is part of a 200-unit pre-series manufactured in 2024 and already in operation across Europe. According to MAN, more than 100 of these trucks have been active since January 2025 in countries including Germany, Austria, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Collectively, the vehicles have covered around 800,000 km to date, with an average energy consumption of 104 kWh per 100 km.
“We have been committed to decarbonising our transport operations for many years,” said Philippe Cuoc, MD of the Jacky Perrenot Group. “Together with our partners – such as the manufacturer MAN – we are striving to develop the best solutions to achieve our environmental goals, which form an integral part of our overall strategy.”
“Our first eTruck in France is going to one of the country’s leading distribution fleets,” added Alexander Vlaskamp, chief executive of MAN Truck & Bus.
