Fleet management, contract hire and rental specialist Fraikin has appointed Darren Hall (pictured) as MD.
Hall’s appointment comes just weeks after the departure of Fraikin chief executive Ed Cowell who left to “pursue other interests”, according to the company.
Hall joins Fraikin after five years as chief executive at Fraikin’s Middle East business Fraikin Dayim.
Prior to that he was MD of chemical application specialist Safetykleen UK.
Hall faces the challenge of bringing Fraikin back into the black. In its latest annual results to 31 December 2018 the firm revealed that despite turnover rising to £57.9m from £51.9m in the period, it had still made a loss of £2.9m.

“Our aim is to build on an already excellent reputation within the commercial vehicle contract hire, rental and fleet management sectors, and I am looking forward to developing further success for Fraikin.”
