The Fortec Distribution Network has become an associate member of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (Fors), TfL’s London-based accreditation scheme.
Fortec said that while associate status recognised its commitment to sustainable distribution within the capital, it would be making use of the experiences gained via the scheme throughout its national network.
Chris Dennigan, network support manager at Fortec, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded Fors associate status, which shows our commitment to raising the standards of safety and sustainability on the roads.
“Becoming a Fors Associate is a logical step, demonstrating that we want to help traffic in London run more smoothly and safely.”
Fortec has 72 member-hauliers in membership across the UK.
It joins the likes of Palletways and Palletline in being involved with the Fors scheme.
