Pallet network Fortec has achieved The Investors in Excellence Standard.
It joins the likes of DHL Supply Chain within the road transport sector, and professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, credit checker Experian and manufacturer Bombardier beyond.
The standard is a framework to help businesses assess their performance and improve it.
Ian Nield, chief executive of Investors in Excellence, said: “We have been hugely impressed with the attitude and commitment shown by Fortec Distribution Network to achieving the Investors in Excellence standard.”
Neil Hodgson, MD of the 65-member pallet network, said: “Investors in Excellence has provided us with a user-friendly framework that enables us to continually improve our business for the good of our customers and employees”.
Before becoming a standalone business, Investors in Excellence was the trading arm of charity Midlands Excellence. The charity was set up in 1996 to aid the region’s economy via education and research.
In May Fortec announced the launch of a corporate division to complement its members’ work.
