Kevin Buchanan is expected to be revealed as group MD of Pall-Ex imminently, marking a sensational return for the man that quit the top job at rival Palletline in August.
Buchanan was a shock departure from Palletline this summer having helmed the pallet network since 2007, a period that saw it move home, recognised in the Motor Transport Awards and, most recently, launch Plus Logistics.
Buchanan’s expected appointment - flagged up via social media - comes after changes at the network, founded by Hilary Devey, in June. This saw Cris Stephenson become UK MD at Pall-Ex, succeeding Adrian Russell who became group MD.
It is not yet known what Buchanan’s arrival will mean in terms of the network’s existing hierarchy.
Pall-Ex has recently announced the recrutiment of two new members. Boococks Commercials commenced coverage of the DN 1-12, 14 and 17 areas in October. Nova Transport, which is headquartered in Bristol, has also joined covering the BS10, 11, 32, 34-37 and GL12-13 postcode areas.
Palletline is understood to be in the process of recruting a replacment for Buchanan.
