Former Pall-Ex and Fortec member Transol Worldwide Logistics has been placed in liquidation after it appointed administrators earlier this year, owing £739,810.
The Coventry-based operator, which had O-licences to run 20 vehicles and seven trailers across two sites in Coventry, was placed in liquidation on 9 July by administrators Brett Barton and Tony Mitchell, both of Cranfield Business Recovery.
The haulier left Pall-Ex back in August 2012, just four months after it joined.
It covered postcodes in Coventry, Rugby and Birmingham, which have now been taken on by Premier Logistics.
The liquidators, who were originally appointed in January to handle the company through its administration, were unavailable for comment.
Before its brief stay with Pall-Ex it had been a member of the Fortec Pallet Distribution Network.
The company’s statement of affairs showed that it owed unsecured creditors £739,810, £356,745 of which was owed to HMRC in PAYE, corporation tax and VAT. Other significant creditors included BS Trailer Services, which was owed £92,294; truck dealership MV Commercials, which was owed £26,779 and Be Fuelcards, which was owed £23,111.
