Fleetstyle Distribution in South Wales has entered administration, 25 years after it first opened.
The Swansea haulier, which had an O-licence authorising nine HGVs, appointed administrators on 11 September, but according to a spokesman at the firm its business and assets were then sold in a pre-pack deal.
When MT contacted the haulier we were told the company was sold to Gateway to Wales, but is continuing to trade under the name Fleetstyle Distribution.
The spokesman added that the company had retained all of Fleetstyle’s customers and that it had employed a new finance director.
He added that Fleetstyle’s sole director Christopher Hill Downing, born 1956, had left the business.
Companies House lists Jamie Christopher Downing, born 1989, and Henry Bullock as the directors of Gateway to Wales.
Records show that Gateway was incorporated on the 17 November last year at Fleetstyle's Swansea address on the Plasmarl industrial estate, with the directors at incorporation listed as Christopher Hill Downing and Jamie Christopher Downing.
According to DVSA records Gateway currently has a licence application under consideration at its Plasmarl industrial estate location.
Fleeststyle's website listed the firm as a member of The Pallet Network.
Administrators at Begbies Traynor did not respond.
