Logistics and technology business EV Cargo has launched a new division which will integrate a range of services across the group as part of a wider strategy to drive growth.
Dubbed EV Cargo Solutions, the new division has Jigsaw, the group’s 4PL, sitting at its heart.
The division will also offer on-demand warehousing and consolidation, logistics and supply chain consultancy and integrated end-to-end supply chain solutions for key accounts.
EV Cargo Solutions will be led by Jigsaw MD Andy Humpherson and will harness the group’s nine million-plus square feet of warehousing space, 175 UK operating centres, 18 overseas operations and Palletforce’s 98 haulier members and 116 depots, to help deliver its services.
EV Cargo Solutions’ on-demand warehousing will offer customers short-term storage and handling solutions from the group’s network of ambient, chilled and bonded facilities across the UK and Europe.

It will also provide urban last-mile distribution solutions via the company’s out-of-town consolidation and sortation centres.
Other services will include a technology-led consultancy solution for new and existing customers which will offer network and flow of goods optimisation, customer service strategies, transport mode selection, fleet and load utilisation and carbon reduction initiatives.

EV Cargo consists of five divisions: Express, which includes Pallet Force; Global Forwarding which contains Allport Cargo Services; Logistics which houses CM Downton and the former NFT Distribution; Technology; and now EV Cargo Solutions.
