Europa Worldwide Logistics has increased the frequency of its Polish services to meet demand for imports and exports to the country.
It will now run four times a week from its southern hub in Erith, south-east London, working in conjunction with its Polish transport partner Erontrans. It also trunks goods from its 155,000ft² hub in ProLogis Park in Birmingham.
Operations director Dan Cook said: “This move enables Europa to deliver a faster and more cost effective groupage service to and from Poland. It demonstrates our commitment to enhance our services and improve our already extensive range of services.”
Europa is set to move into a new 262,500ft² site at the Prologis Park in Littlebrook, Dartford, a site it hopes will be operational by spring 2015.
In our exclusive interview with MD Andrew Baxter, he said that the Dartford site agreement was made because “whole business would have been massively restrained by not having capacity in our southern hub”.
