Logistics and warehousing operator Europa Worldwide Group is on the hunt for another cohort of graduates and school-leavers to join its career development programme.

Under the company’s Rapid Career Development programme, candidates will be given the chance to join the Europa Road sales team and become a trainee road account manager.

The scheme’s first batch of 13 trainees were taken on last month to work across Europa Road’s 13 branches. Now Europa has announced a second intake, with video screening and first and second stage interviews beginning from next month. Successful applicants will start to work within the business from September.

The company said the scheme, which is the brain child of MD Andrew Baxter, is designed to appeal to “highly ambitious and focused individuals who are keen to earn and learn, hit the ground running and progress up the sales career ladder from as early as 18-years-old”.

Europa’s early career talent manager, Lana Jay (pictured), who has been promoting the scheme at schools and universities across the country, said: “The calibre of candidates, specifically graduates, has been exceptionally high this year.”

She added: “We’re now looking at our future talent pipeline and adding a second intake to start in September which will allow us to capture the attention of graduates and school-leavers who are currently reviewing potential career choices.”

All successful applicants will have a starting salary of £22,500, benefits including a company car and the chance to earn extra commission. Applications can be made via the Europa website.

Jay said: “For Europa it’s all about finding candidates who are the right fit for the business – we’re looking for graduates and school-leavers who are passionate about starting a career in sales, self-motivated, charismatic, energetic and enthusiastic.”

Europa Worldwide Group has a £205m turnover and employs over 1,000 staff across 16 sites in the UK, as well as in Belgium and Hong Kong.
