DHL Supply Chain has signed a deal with Chinese elctric car brand Aion to provide a nationwide next-day aftermarket parts distribution service.
DHL will manage parts storage, inventory management, order fulfilment and distribution through its UK logistics network for Aion, which is the electrified car brand from Chinese car manufacturer GAC.
The operation launches with more than 1,250 genuine AION V part lines in stock and available.
It combines warehousing, inventory control and fast delivery capabilities, giving AION retailers and service partners access to parts within 24 hours across the UK.
The fully digitised ordering system has been designed to minimise vehicle downtime and provide confidence to customers.
Ben Hurford, Aion Auto UK aftersales director, said: “We know that a common concern for drivers considering a new brand is whether spare parts are readily available should the worst happen.
“Even before we sold our first car, we partnered with DHL to establish and stock up a dedicated UK parts warehouse so we can respond immediately when a workshop needs us to ship parts to them.
“With over 1,250 part lines available from day one, the warehouse facility is a reflection of our long-term investment in AION and its customers,” he added.
