Dawsongroup truck & trailer is inviting operators to its stand at Freight in the City Expo next month to find out more about “try before you buy” opportunities for alternatively fuelled trucks and vans.
With clean air zones soon rolling out in several major UK cities, Dawsongroup said it is seeing growing numbers of operators exploring rental, leasing and contract hire options to help them comply.
A company spokesman said: “We are offering ‘try before you buy’ opportunities to operators who know they have to do something, but don’t want to risk major capital outlay on vehicles or systems about which they are uncertain.”
At Freight in the City Expo, Dawsongroup will be displaying a gas-powered rigid on its stand, taken from its fast-growing fleet of alternative fuel commercial vehicles.
A team will be on hand all day to help operators understand what is available and how Dawsongroup can help them introduce new technology and fuels in their own operations, without having to make major investments.
Now in its fifth year, Freight in the City Expo takes place on 6 November at Alexandra Palace, London.
It is free to attend and features a packed seminar programme focused on urban logistics, as well as a large exhibition of trucks, vans, trailers, cargo bikes and latest technology for city operations.
