Culina Group company IPS has retained the EcoVadis Silver award, which it said reflected its commitment to sustainable practices and operational excellence.

The contract packing services provider said it now ranked among the top 15% of companies that completed the assessment and it had been recognised with an ‘advanced’ categorisation in sustainability.

Phil Walker, IPS technical director, said: “Our success is not just a standalone effort but a result of integrating sustainable practices across all areas of our operation.

“From account management to logistics, customer collaboration just keeps accelerating, and we’re able to integrate our climate transition action plan (CTAP) whilst aligning both IPS and our customers’ vision and targets.”

The company said that by incorporating both IPS and customers’ visions and targets within the CTAP it had strengthened its partnerships and ensured collective goals could be met and exceeded.

“IPS’s commitment to sustainability is woven into the fabric of its entire operation,” added Walker.

XPO was recently awarded the EcoVadis gold medal for its corporate social responsibility strategy and performance.
