Clipper Logistics was the big winner at the Logistics UK annual awards held in London last night (December 9), winning the Public Services Operator of the Year and Most Innovative Company of the Year categories.
Stagefreight retained its title as the Road Freight Operator of the Year while Nicola Foley, assistant general manager at Wincanton, was presented with the Rising Star for 2021 award by guest of honour HRH the Princess Royal.
Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK, PD Ports and Menzies Distribution also picked up awards, with a special achievement award for work during the Covid-19 pandemic going to Alliance Healthcare.
Leigh Pomlett, a former director of CEVA, was presented with the Lifetime Achievement award as he stood down after six years as president of Logistics UK by his successor Phil Roe, MD - construction, agrifood and manufacturing at DHL.
