Same-day delivery firm CitySprint is hiring 600 additional couriers for the peak Christmas period.
The roles will be UK-wide and ease the pressure on the delivery network throughout CitySprint’s peak period, working in multiple segments including financial, legal and the public sector.
They will join a workforce of more than 5,000 existing couriers, which operate from 41 service centres nationally.
CitySprint said its peak season starts in late October running through to the new year, with 14 December being its busiest day last year.
Paul Gisbourne, CEO of CitySprint, said: “Getting the festive-season supply chain right is difficult and we understand how important this time of year is for everyone.
“We’re making sure we have the right team in place to provide a first-class service for clients and to support the sharp rise in delivery volumes during this period.”
Last month, CItySprint announced it was launching a brand-new service for oversized, heavy goods, called Freight Desk.
