City Link is continuing its drive towards the b2c market with the launch of an ad-hoc parcel collection and delivery service for consumers and SMEs.
The new ‘Click&Send’ service has been launched in conjunction with comparison website Parcel2Go and will allow business customers sending low volumes, as well as consumers, to send parcels with City link without creating an account first.
The carrier is continuing to expand its services outside of its core b2b and SME next-day business and follows the launch of similar services by rival parcel carriers UK Mail and Yodel.
The service will include collection from home, track and trace, proof of delivery, and next-day or time-specific delivery.
City Link’s sales and marketing director Tim Brown said: “The introduction of Click&Send into our portfolio of services is an exciting new chapter for City Link. The needs of today’s businesses and consumers are converging and evolving. We find we are taking an increasing number of enquiries from potential customers looking to send ad-hoc parcels straight away without signing up to an account.”
