FRP Advisory, the administrators of Charles Gee Group, has confirmed to Motortransport.co.uk that it is still seeking a buyer for some of its road transport interests.

Earlier today it emerged that C&H (Hauliers) had been acquired by CM Downton, but that deal primarily applies to Charles Gee's transport interests in the paper and publishing markets.

Charles Gee remains in administration, with subsidiary Charles Gee Bridgwater – associated with wing loader transporter work for Airbus – still seeking a buyer.

The subsidary has depots in Bridgwater, Somerset and Clevedon near Bristol - as well as a project cargo facility at Portland Port.

Phil Armstrong, partner at FRP Advisory and joint administrator, said: “We remain highly focused on working with the rest of the Charles Gee Group’s customers and suppliers and in engaging with interested parties."

A spokesman for administrators FRP Advisory said that: “It is likely that during the ongoing administration process there will be redundancies within the Group as overall trading conditions for logistics firms remain challenging.”
