Ceva Logistics has signed a €16.9m contract renewal with canned fish manufacturer John West, following a successful five-year relationship.

The Leicestershire-based logistics firm will continue to provide UK supply chain operations, including collecting cleared cargo from the port of Felixstowe for onward transportation to Ceva’s’s shared-user facility in Mendlesham.

Ceva will also provide customs clearance services and warehousing for John West, as well as managing all road transportation across the UK.

Matthew Carroll, regional director, consumer and retail at Ceva, says: “We are delighted to continue this key relationship which has been established over the past five years. The range and scope of services we provide to John West has been developed over time and the Mendlesham shared-user facility, along with our extensive road distribution network, continue to deliver operational excellence.”

John Tomlinson, supply chain director at John West, adds that during five years of working with Ceva, the logistics firm has “effectively expanded its range of services, enabling John West to focus on its passion – developing outstanding fish products for consumers”.
