Ceva Logistics has secured a multi-million Euro contract renewal with mop manufacturer Vileda, covering palletised storage and distribution.
The contract will run until 2018 and Ceva will deliver around 350 orders per week to wholesalers across the UK from its Corby warehouse.
The operator stores approximately 5,300 pallets and 700 stock keeping units per year. It will also assemble 100 different product lines at the warehouse, using 275,000 components.
The contract also includes the receipt and management of un-assembled products, repacking and storing spare parts.
Mirib Michael, supply chain manager for Vileda, said it had benefitted from a complete overhaul of the way its products flow through the warehouse.
Ceva’s regional director for consumer retail in the UK, Matthew Carroll said: “The team at Corby work extremely hard to continually maintain very high service levels and I am extremely confident that with the inherent culture of continuous improvement across our operations that the team will continue to deliver real benefits for this customer.”
