Cemex has signed a contract hire deal with Burnt Tree for 30 Daf Euro-5 tractor units.
The deal forms part of Cemex's fleet renewal programme for its 200-strong aggregate logistics fleet, with each of the new units expected to cover around 100,000km a year.
Paul Clarke, logistics engineering manager at Cemex, said: “During the acquisition programme for these replacement artics, Burnt Tree was able to demonstrate its all-round supply capability, with a deal that fully met our stringent specification and delivery requirements.”
The first of the new tractor units went into service at the end of 2013 with the remaining tractor units phased into the Cemex fleet at the end of last month. Burnt Tree has previously supplied 7.5 tonne trucks to Cemex.
