Cornwall-based courier Carn Logistics has taken over coverage of the BA postcode in Somerset for APC Overnight, after acquiring another APC shareholder depot.
An APC spokesman confirmed that Carn took over operations at Bath Logistics, based in Frome, Somerset, earlier this month, therefore acquiring coverage for the BA postcode area.
Carn Logistics will use a fleet of 15 vehicles to collect and deliver in the Bath area on the parcel network’s behalf, along with coverage of the TR postcode in Cornwall and the Scilly Isles.
The spokesman said Bath Logistics will not change its name.
MD Alan Cooper said: “Carn Logistics has been founded on the basis of providing the best possible next day delivery service for customers. 600 Cornish businesses rely on us to deliver their goods across the UK every year. We're looking forward to providing the same exceptional levels of customer services for businesses based in the BA postcode.”
In its latest set of annual accounts, APC’s pre-tax profit rose by 35%, due to sales incentives in key areas and improved brand awareness.
