North Yorkshire haulier Campeys of Selby has added 35 new high capacity curtainside trailers to its expanding fleet after landing a number of new deals.
The new Lawrence David trailers have a bespoke specification with 2.9m internal height to ensure maximum load volume and enhance operational efficiency.
The pillarless trailers have flat floors to maximise load fill and come with a range of safety features including interior LED lighting and additional access steps.
The new additions see Campeys operate a fleet of 80 units and 140 trailers.
As part of its growth plans, Campeys – a Palletforce and Transport Association member – has recently gained additional business including insulation and polystyrene manufacturers.
The fourth generation family firm provides transport from manufacturer to distribution centre and direct to retailers and builders merchants.
The new high-volume trailers boost Campeys’ efficiency and help the firm meet its reduced road miles and emissions targets.
Harry Campey, transport manager at Campeys of Selby, said: “We are continuing our growth strategy during 2021 and, as part of that, have added 35 new curtainsiders to handle additional work and allow us to continue to provide the best possible service to our customers.
“We’ve spec’d them to offer both operational efficiency and a number of driver-friendly features. It’s important that we operate a modern fleet to help our drivers carry out their job in the safest way possible.”
Simon Lake, business development manager – rigid and trailer products at Lawrence David, said: “Lawrence David is delighted to be part of Campeys’ continued growth and we congratulate the business for its ongoing success. Having supplied Campeys for over five years, we know their business like they know ours.
“Combined with our strong residuals, transferrable 10-year warranty and unrivalled group structure and support, Campeys receives the bespoke solution and enjoys the relationships that its business demands."
