Office supplies company Lyreco UK has placed an order with Burnt Tree for almost 60 light commercial vehicles.
As part of the operator's fleet replacement programme, Burnt Tree will supply 57 Mercedes Sprinter 513 integral vans to Lyreco, along with a 7.5-tonne Daf LF45 box rigid with tail lift and a VW Caddy Maxi van.
The vans have been supplied on a five-year contract hire basis and come with Burnt Tree’s online fleet management tool FleetForce.
The first 30 Mercedes vans have already gone into service, while the remainder will be delivered later this month.
Lyreco’s national distribution manager Jennie Lucas said: “When we were looking to replace our 5 tonne vehicles, Burnt Tree impressed us not only with the service that we had received with our previous 3.5 tonne vehicles from them but also with their FleetForce fleet maintenance programme that was now available to us.”
Mark Howell, contract hire director at Burnt Tree, said: “At Burnt Tree, we pride ourselves on the strength of our long term customer relationships and, over the past four years, this has certainly been the case with Lyreco. By having the opportunity to replace their incumbent vehicle supplier at 5 tonnes, we have been able to demonstrate to Lyreco that our contract hire and fleet management offering at this GVW will meet with their stringent operating requirements.”
- Last month Burnt Tree was acquired by car and van rental firm Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
