Please can you give Mr Potter a medal? It is about time more people like him were given a stronger voice to burn the myth that battery electric is carbon free.
People should be given more information regarding the way that the electricity used is generated. Even the so-called bio fuels used in electricity generation aren’t really what they are called. Wood pellets are still wood and release CO2 when they burn. A large amount are imported and travel long distances by ship and rail.
Let’s have more dialogue on alternatives and better comparisons made so people can have a more informed decision when purchasing their new vehicles.
